Something New: For a truly special touch, consider a custom hand-painted tambourine (with NOLA street tiles, custom wedding logos, and more) from YaySoiree. Owner Kristin Petry started the company in 2021 in response to the pandemic. “One of my best friends had to replan her wedding, and the week of her replanned wedding, she had to cut her list down to the bare bones,” she says. “Thinking of anything I could do to make it special, I painted two custom tambourines for she and her husband, and the idea was born.” Since starting YaySoiree, Kristin has created more than 30 custom tambourines. “A New Orleans wedding is notoriously jovial and inclusive. Your tambourine brings you front and center and ready to lead the second line.”
